Welcome to the Huntington's Disease Research Science Blog!
This site is an attempt to communicate important scientific findings relevant to Huntington's Disease. I will periodically review novel scientific findings, explain the main results and their implication for either understanding the biology of HD, or towards the development of novel therapeutics. The goal is to disseminate information to all affected or interested in this disease, explaining rigorously the latest findings in the scientific community in a way that is clear to all. My goal is to make people understand the motivations of the scientists, educate people of how scientists work, and for people to understand the implications of the findings. Ultimately, I am dedicated to curing this disease, and by sharing my thoughts with those affected, I hope to be able to instill support for the scientists dedicating their life to treating this devastating disorder.

- I am a neuroscientist working to find a cure for Huntington's disease. I came to the US twenty years ago to study molecular biology and genetics. I became a developmental neurobiologist with an emphasis on stem cells. I was interested in science since I was a kid and lost my mother to cancer when I was 11 years old. I want to solve difficult problems in life, while at the same time making a difference in people's lives. I want to communicate in simple terms the latest breakthroughs in science and drug development for HD. I also want to show people the struggles of scientists trying to understand life and cure diseases. I hope this blog will help educate the community about the recent findings relevant to developing therapies for this terrible disease.
